Applewood Learning
Outdoor Skills Pathway
A 12-week rolling programme for neurodivergent and SEND learners aged 7–25 years (including young people who are NEET).

Set in forests, parks, trails and coastal spaces, the programme supports confidence building, self-regulation skills and independence through meaningful real-world learning experiences.

Each session follows The Applewood Way, combining guided activities, structured outdoor learning and calm reflection. Communication and social skills are explicitly supported, helping young people to develop safety awareness, teamwork, problem-solving and confidence within a nurturing, personalised and supportive small-group environment.
