Our Leadership Team brings together a breadth of experience across mainstream and specialist education, united by a shared commitment to inclusive, high-quality provision for a wide range of learners.

Senior leaders provide clear direction, care, and support across Applewood Learning. With a strong focus on wellbeing, inclusion, and high expectations, they work closely with staff, pupils, and families to ensure every child is supported to make meaningful progress.

​

Approachable and experienced, the team leads with compassion and consistency, creating a positive culture where pupils feel valued and staff feel supported. Through thoughtful leadership and collaboration, they help shape a safe, nurturing environment in which everyone can thrive.

Our Safeguarding Team is committed to ensuring that all children and young people at Applewood Learning are safe, supported, and listened to. Made up of trained and experienced staff, the team works proactively to promote a culture of safeguarding and to ensure pupils feel secure and cared for throughout their time with us.

We have experience in building trusting relationships with families and external agencies. The Safeguarding Team provides clear guidance, early support, and reassurance. Their calm, consistent approach helps create a safe environment where children can learn, develop confidence, and make positive progress.

​Our Teaching Team is a friendly and dedicated group of professionals who are committed to supporting every pupil at Applewood Learning.

 

Working across both primary and secondary phases, they take time to build trusting relationships and create learning experiences where children feel safe, understood, and encouraged.

​

With strengths in core subjects and inclusive practice, the team adapts learning to meet individual needs while celebrating progress and success.

 

By working closely with families and other professionals, our teachers ensure each pupil receives the support they need to grow in confidence, learning, and independence.

Our SEND experienced team is committed to ensuring every child feels safe, valued, and supported at Applewood Learning.

 

With a wide range of expertise and specialist knowledge, the team works closely with pupils to understand individual needs and support positive progress.

​

By building strong relationships with families and working alongside other professionals, we ensure each child receives personalised support within a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

​

Our SEND team can offer guidance to help families understand the Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) process, access relevant support, and work collaboratively with local authorities and other professionals.
