Applewood Learning
Life Skills Pathway
Our Life Skills Pathway supports SEND and neurodivergent young people to develop independence and confidence.

This 12-week Life Skills Pathway supports SEND and neurodivergent learners (including young people who are NEET) to develop the tools, confidence, and real-world skills to support their next steps.

Grounded in The Applewood Way, the programme blends practical learning with communication development, self-regulation skills, and meaningful community-based experiences. Learners are supported to develop independence through activities such as planning journeys, managing money, preparing simple meals, and practising safe, positive social interactions.

With a trauma-informed, strengths-based, and neuro-affirming approach, sessions promote agency, self-advocacy, and transferable skills that support independence and autonomy.
